.This small welded metal figure sculpture has a funny title. I titled this painted torso sculpture "Wheres My Dog" for two reasons. First, when i sent a photo of the artwork in progress to a friend he replied. "Nice dog sculpture" I scratched my head thinking, dog sculpture? its a figure. Later on when reexamining the photo i sent him, i saw what he meant. At a certain angle looking down at the artwork it looks exactly like a dog's face. This is more clear to see here.
Then i pondered the mysterious dog face hidden in the sculpture. The artwork reminded me of how you feel when you can't find your dog. It sort of feels like your arms and legs and head are useless until the dog returns. That's it! the title was born.
