This sculpture was created on the heals of a large bronze Olive tree commission. After the art was delivered i had some extra scraps of bronze rods and a handful of leaves that were left over. I had also been thinking of creating a tree face for a long time and i had made drawings in the past of a face merged into nature.
        During the process of building the olive tree commission and researching the looks of olive leaves and branches i became aware of the healing properties of olive leaves. Being already interested in the connection with healing and plants the idea came to me and it all came together.
